Welcome to Smile Port
- “Smile Port” is a Local Childcare Support Center in Nishi Ward.
- “Smile Port” is a place where children (preschoolers), moms, dads, grandparents and guardians can play, learn, chat, and relax together.
- We offer local child rearing information.
We provide a variety of events and workshops that you can take part in for you to gather and share information and make friends. - To ensure safety, children must be supervised and accompanied by a parent, grandparent or guardian at all times.
- While we ask you to stay comfortable and safe, please respect each other and enjoy your stay at “Smile Port”.

There books for children from 0 years and up, as well as books are picture for adults, including books on childcare.(Books for adults can be borrowed.)

This is a relaxing corner for babies before they start walking.

Nursing corner
It can be partitioned with a curtain. If you need hot water for milk, please ask the staff.

In the event of a weather warning
For your safety and the safety of the facility, in the event of bad weather such as typhoons or heavy snow, we will take the following measures. For your safety, we ask for your understanding and cooperation.
When warnings and alerts are issued
If, after 7:30am (two hours before opening), a ‘storm warning’, ‘heavy snow warning’, ‘heavy snow storm warning’ or ‘heavy snow warning’ is issued for all of Kanagawa Prefecture, eastern Kanagawa Prefecture or Yokohama City, Smile Port will be closed temporarily.
Telephone parenting consultation and Childrearing Support System telephone support will be provided.
If a ‘special warning’ is in force, we will be temporarily closed
and all service will be out of order.
When warnings or alerts are issued while Smile Port is open
If warnings or alerts are issued while Smile Port is open, you may be asked to leave Smile Port earlier if necessary.
When warnings and alerts are lifted during temporary closure.
Smile Port may open later if the warnings and alerts are lifted and the weather improves while Smile Port is temporarily closed.
